Andrew Bell (BPsychSc Hons, Assoc. MAPS) is a registered general psychologist and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. Andrew uses a person-centred, strengths-based approach that is non-judgemental in nature and seeks to empower clients to achieve their best. Andrew has worked with clients across the lifespan and from a variety of cultures. He has experience working with a variety of mental health conditions and has a special interest in mood disorders (such as anxiety and depression), relationships difficulties, and trauma. Andrew uses a variety of therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Trauma-informed care.
Andrew has worked in a range of settings including the disability sector and community-based mental health. He has worked in the public, private, and community sectors in a variety of settings and roles. His work has taken him to remote Indigenous communities and has included work with refugees and migrants from a wide range of cultures. From this experience, Andrew understands the particular difficulties faced by peoples from different cultures.
In his psychological practice, Andrew applies his lifetime of experience from working with people from all walks of life. He combines this with a practical, common sense approach to help clients make sense of their problems.
Andrew’s specialist areas include: Mood disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Trauma, Disability. Andrew offers both individual and couples therapy.
Andrew Bell offers face-to-face appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8am to 5pm.
