At Sheridan Psychologists our team of clinical and general psychologists are committed to providing evidence-based, client-focussed therapy to support you during your most challenging times. We are also welcoming Dr Brendon Ward, an Australians and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and Nation Eating Disorder Collaboration (NEDC) accredited clinical psychologist with a keen interest in the treatment of trauma and complex/developmental trauma, as well as in eating disorders and difficulties

We are thrilled to welcome three new practitioners, clinical psychologists Dr Brendon Ward, Tina Laird and general psychologist, Sarah White to the team.

Brendon is accredited by the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and the National Eating Disorder Collaboration (NEC); supporting those with eating difficulties is one area of interest. approaches therapy. He is able to provide support for a broad range of needs, but predominantly works with those over the age of 16, and has a special interest in the treatment of complex/developmental trauma.

Brendon works collaboratively, supporting his clients on the journey to learn more about themselves, and to try new ways of being and relating so they can thrive. Brendon has completed a Doctorate in Psychology with a focus on evidence based practice across the lifespan for mental health difficulties (generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder etc.). He is passionate about feedback informed treatment, monitoring progress in his patients so they can reach their goals. Brendon’s full bio can be found here.

Tina has a keen interest in the assessment of complex child/ adolescent neuropsychology, in particular, psychological functioning and cognitive assessment (psychometric testing). She has extensive experience in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology

Tina’s goal is to support children, adolescents, and their families using both her professional skills and lived experience.  Tina is accustomed to working collaboratively with other professionals (GPs, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, teachers, support workers, etc) and systems (e.g. schools, NDIA, etc) to advocate for children and families. She is committed to ongoing professional development to further develop her skills and offer up-to-date, evidence-based services. Tina’s full bio can be found here.

We are excited to welcome Sarah to our team. Sarah has a warm and genuine approach to therapy and has a background in maternal health, and a passion for helping women though all stages of life.

Sarah has experience working with a wide range of needs, and sees clients who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting, suicidality and self-harm, the pre and post-natal period, fertility, surrogacy, women’s health and wellbeing, grief and loss, trauma, personality disorders, anger management, disability, motor vehicle and traumatic injuries, gender identity, chronic illness and pain, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Prior to becoming a psychologist, Sarah worked in Primary Health Care and Maternal Health delivering babies and has a passion for supporting women of all ages with their health and wellbeing. Sarah offers counselling through pregnancy, infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, medical and birth trauma, menopause and perimenopause, hormonal disturbance and Gender Dysphoria Disorder. Extended Hours

Because we know it can be difficult finding the right time for you to get the support you want and need, we realise there is a need for people to be able to access psychology outside of school or work hours. In the coming months we will be instigating session times between 3-7pm and on Saturdays.
